Export to PDF

PDF or Portable Document Format is a more visual way to export your data and results in a formatted page reminiscent of a regular form. References are included as thumbnails and peripheral info is included (credits, studio name, etc.).

The completed export can be printed, mailed or opened directly from the ensuing menu showing you a preview of the final result.

1. Export Type

Three different export types for PDF can be chosen:

  1. Full Report
    The most extensive report that can be created. It includes one page per take and contains all information for that take and the associated slate and camera. It is similar to the form view of Setellite. Additional pages like Reference sheets and Project information can be added.
  2. Data Sheet
    A smaller report, like traditional vfx reports, displaying a slate with all camera and take information on a single page. Due to the available space on the sheet some values are not present in this export.
  3. Full Page References
    A collection of all references linked to the selected slates. On every page a different reference is printed with their specifications and some slate information. Audio notes are not included and from videos four frames are extracted that are presented in a grid.
  4. References Sheet
    An overview of references for each slate, showing thumbnails and all reference information (e.g. title, creation date, notes). Additional pages like containing Project information can be added to this export.

2. Paper Format

The Following Paper formats can be selected:

  1.  A4
  2. Letter
  3. Legal

Note that the Full Report and References Sheet are printed in portrait orientation, while the Data Sheet and Full Page References are printed in landscape.

3. Additional Settings

3.1. Full Report

Full Report supports the following Additional Pages settings:

  1. Include Project Cover Page
    When this option is on, a project cover page is added to the document (first page) presenting several project-specific data like Technical Specifications  and Credits.
  2. Include Project Details Pages
    When this option is on, a page is added to the document presenting the synopsis of the project and a full list of the project gear.
  3. Include Project Contacts Sheet
    When this option is on, a page is added to the document presenting all contact details of the project.
  4. Include References Sheets
    When this option is on, a page is added after each slate presenting a full list of the references linked to the slate, including name, notes and thumbnail. This sheets are the same as the sheets created using the 'References Sheets' export types.

It also supports the following miscellaneous settings:

  1. Show Take Data before Camera Data
    When this options is off, each page will show the main slate information, followed by the slate camera information, the main take information and the take camera information. Setting this option to on will change the order to main slate, main take, slate camera, take camera.
  2. Include Empty Takes
    Turning this option on will export all slates, even when a slate doesn't contain any cameras or takes.
  3. Hide Stereo Fields
    Turning this option on will exclude all stereo fields of the slate cameras and take cameras from the exported document.
  4. Highlight Differences Between Takes
    When this option is on, values in the same take that have changed between takes will be highlighted in red.

3.2. Data Sheets

Data Sheets supports no additional settings.

3.3. Full Page References

When Full Page References is selected as Export Type, the following options can be selected in the 'Reference Type' settings.

Select which reference types are included (audio notes cannot be exported to PDF):

  1. Still Images
  2. Drawings
  3. Videos

And select what the quality of the images should be. Higher quality results in a larger file size of the document.

  1. High
  2. Medium
  3. Low

3.4. References Sheet

References Sheet supports the following Additional Pages settings:

  1. Include Project Cover Page

4. Mappings

In the mapping section, a selection of slates can be made that is included in the export. When using the Slates Filter and tapping the export button the filtered selection of slates is automatically used in the export's slate mapping.
